Africa-Press – Eswatini. Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini today welcomed Dr. Ntuli Angyelile Kapologwe, Director General of the East Central and Southern Africa Health Community (ECSA-HC).
The visit formed part of ECSA-HC’s ongoing preparations ahead of Eswatini’s hosting of the 76th Ministers of Health Conference in February 2026, an important regional event that places the Kingdom at the centre of collaborative health development.
Dr. Kapologwe was joined by Eswatini’s Minister of Health, Mduduzi Matsebula, and ECSA-HC Director of Operations and Institutional Development, Mr. Sibusiso Sibandze. The delegation briefed the Prime Minister on the organisation’s programmes and its continued support to Eswatini. They highlighted the country’s significant strides in strengthening the health sector, praising improvements such as the digitalisation of clinic systems and enhanced availability of essential medical commodities. These advances, they noted, position Eswatini as a strong candidate for hosting a successful ministerial conference.
As part of their assessment mission, the ECSA-HC team also toured key health facilities, including Hlane and Lobamba clinics, to observe progress and readiness on the ground. Their visit reflects growing regional confidence in Eswatini’s capabilities and the nation’s commitment to improving healthcare outcomes for its citizens.
The upcoming 2026 conference is expected to further inspire collaboration, innovation, and shared solutions among health leaders across the region, an opportunity that Eswatini is poised to embrace with excellence.
