Africa-Press – Eswatini. The President of the Eswatini Schools Arts and Culture Association has extended his heartfelt gratitude to schools, teachers, and students for their outstanding cooperation, discipline, and spirit of unity during the recent national Schools Arts and Culture Competition.

The event brought together hundreds of students from across the country to showcase their talents in various artistic and cultural expressions, ranging from traditional dance and music to drama and ummiso, drum majorates and sibhaca among others. The President described the event as a resounding success, highlighting the high level of discipline displayed throughout the competition.

Appreciating them Ronny Gamedze of schools arts and culture said that the children heeded to the King’s call to respect. “ I want to thank the teachers and students for their unmatched respect and discipline. As the King emphasizes that Emaswati are known for their respect, the children did just that.” he said. “Your cooperation and discipline were key to the smooth running of the entire event. It made our work easier and more enjoyable, and it demonstrated the true spirit of unity and excellence that our association stands for.” said Gamedze.

He emphasized that the positive conduct and mutual respect witnessed at the event not only enhanced the overall experience for participants and organizers but also set a strong example for future competitions. “What we saw during this competition was not just talent, it was a reflection of strong values being nurtured in our schools. This gives us great confidence in the future of arts and culture in Eswatini.” added Gamedze.

The event served as both a competition and a celebration of Eswatini’s rich cultural heritage, with students using the platform to express creativity and promote cultural identity. The association aims to continue fostering such platforms, where young people can thrive artistically while being grounded in discipline and respect.

The President concluded his remarks by reaffirming the association’s commitment to supporting arts and culture in schools and encouraged continued collaboration among educators, cultural leaders, and the Ministry of Education.
