Africa-Press – Eswatini. Captured and State controlled journalists scrambled to grab a microphone from powerful and independent minded veteran editor of the Nation Magazine Bheki Makhubu who was questioning Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini on issues of public interest.
Ministers, Principal Secretaries and other Government officials kept quiet as Makhubu came hard on the PM but, captured journalists from the Times of eSwatini, the Swazi Observer and other media entities scrambled to grab the microphone.
“Who the hell do you think you are”, said the editor who was complaining why the Prime Minister was eager to control the media.
The editor maintained that, it was not the duty of the media to be in bed with the Prime Minister or Government but, journalists are expected to ask hard questions.
