Africa-Press – Eswatini. Manzini Regional Administrator Prince Gija emphasized that jobs are the key to peace in Eswatini.
Chief Gija said this in an interview during the King’s birthday celebrations in Nhlangano. He was supporting the King promise that will not rest up until all citizens are employed.
The Prince explained that when everyone has a job, the country will be stable, prosperous and peaceful.
The Manzini region is taking action by creating opportunities for youth development and job creation. Chiefs meet regularly to discuss how they can support these efforts and ensure that the region grows economically.
One major project is the creation of a website to promote Eswatini made products. This platform will help small businesses display their goods, like Emagcebesha, wooden spoons and locally made stoves that use jelly, to a global audience. The website gives local businesses a chance to grow and find new customers outside Eswatini.
The Idea for the website came after Prince Gitja’s call in May 2024 for online platforms to help small and medium enterprises to advertise their products.
He believes this will connect local businesses with the world and provide more opportunities for everyone.
Through these initiatives, Manzini region is working to ensure that the King’s vision of a job-filled that lead to peaceful Eswatini becomes a reality.
