In a strong show of regional cooperation, the Cross-Border Road Transport Agency (South Africa), the Royal Eswatini Police Service, the Sincephetelo Motor Vehicle Accident Fund (SMVAF), and the Eswatini Road Safety Council have launched a joint Road Safety Roadblock aimed at improving public transport roadworthiness and regulatory compliance.
The operation, conducted during the busy festive season, focuses on keeping public transport vehicles safe, ensuring that drivers adhere to regulations, and promoting responsible driving habits. Authorities say the initiative is part of continuous efforts to create safer roads for all road users.
