Africa-Press – Eswatini. Lucky Mbuyane, the South African Communist Party(SACP) Mpumalanga Provincial Secretary has urged South Africa to terminate ties with Mswati, sanction the country and demand democracy.
Speaking during an interview with the People’s Eye Podcast this week, the SACP leader said South Africa must play a role in democratizing eSwatini.
“If South Africa can say NO, Mswati as the South African Government we are no longer working with you because you are not a democratic country”, he said.
Eswatini is ruled by King Mswati as an absolute Monarch, political parties are banned while human rights defenders, political activists and independent journalists are arrested toured or even killed for demanding democracy.
