Africa-Press – Eswatini. Premier League table proppers Moneni Pirates faced another setback as they suffered a 2-0 defeat against Young Buffaloes in the MTN Premier League.

This loss marks their fourth consecutive defeat in the league. The match took place at KaLanga Technical Centre yesterday. With this defeat, Moneni Pirates have now gone five games without a win since the league started on September 17. The loss kept them at the bottom of the league table with only one point, while Young Buffaloes’ victory will lift them to a mid-table position among the 14 teams.

Scored

The goals for Young Buffaloes were scored by Sandile ‘Saviola’ Gamedze and Siboniso ‘Gaxa’ Ngwenya. Saviola found the back of the net with a diving header, while Gaxa capitalised on a goal-mouth scramble to beat the opposition goalkeeper. This win comes as a relief for Young Buffaloes after their 0-1 loss to Nsingizini Hotspurs last weekend. On the other hand, Moneni Pirates’ defeat adds more pressure on their coach, Ikabort Masocha, following their 1-0 defeat at the hands of defending champions Green Mamba in their previous game. Despite the victory, Young Buffaloes’ coach, Mandla ‘Stofu’ Dlamini, is also under pressure due to their less-than-ideal start to the season, having lost two games in five. It is worth noting that Young Buffaloes ended last season without losing any games.
