Africa-Press – Eswatini. Shiselweni Regional Administrator (RA), Themba Masuku, has raved about the positive energy exuded by His Majesty King Mswati III during his week-long visit to the region.
The King visited the Shiselweni Region to celebrate his 57th Birthday and 39 years of rule since the Kingdom attained independence in 1968.
The superbly choreographed and successful birthday event, celebrated on April 25, which is the country’s national Flag Day, was held at the King Sobhuza II Stadium, where thousands of jubilant Emaswati were in attendance.
Apart from the core birthday celebrations, which ended with an exquisitely decorated dinner at Mbangweni Royal Residence hosted by the Directors of 7th on the Hill Hotel,
where an investment of E200 million has already been made, the King embarked on a regional tour of the region in areas which included Hlatsi, Hluthi and Hosea.
When summarising the King’s visit, RA Masuku, who previously served as Deputy Prime Minister (DPM), took to social media streets in excitement and posted,
“The positive energy exuded by His Majesty the King and Ingwenyama in our region is remarkable. The rare and unique grassroots visit to the community of Hosea left many of us in awe.
He spent time with his people, regardless of their social status, and more. Deep in the evening at Hosea, this Monarch was still at the Inkhundla/Constituency Centre working.
He left the place at 10:45 pm. This is a true leader with a heart for his people. Bayethe Ndlamadoda, Wena Waphakathi.”

During the official opening of Hosea Inkhundla, the King pointed out that he would continue empowering Emaswati, the youth, to inculcate the spirit of entrepreneurship, ensuring that the country continues to enjoy tranquil peace and economic boom.
