Africa-Press – Eswatini. Siphocosini Chief Prince Jabhane is allegedly preparing to marry Hlengiwe ‘Pitsi’ Dlamini, a police officer who is expected to be his third(3rd) wife.
The police officer is an alleged girlfriend to Prince Majaha who was also dating the Chief on the sidelines and, Prince Jabhane has already engaged Hlengiwe Pitsi Dlamini through the “kucela” customary practice.
But senior elders within the Siphocosini uMphakatsi told that,the Chief ignored a warning not to marry a Dlamini.
“When we warned him not to marry a Dlamini as such privilege is only for the King he said we must not tell him about the King who refused to appoint him into his emaBandla. He did not end there, he told his girlfriend to wear a traditional attire like the King’s Liphovela.Nawubuka lelihiya linemafindvo lamabili, loko kuvunulwa ngemaPhovela eNkhosi kuphela. We are concerned because the King might be angry and remove him as Chief”, said one of the Siphocosini uMphakatsi elders.
Reached for comments on Sunday evening, former Speaker in the House of Assembly Skakadza Matsebula, the Siphocosini Indvuna confirmed that, the Chief might marry the police officer but declined to comment further saying the marriage “is yet to be formally” announced.
“It’s true but nothing formal yet,” said the Siphocosini Indvuna who was speaking on behalf of the Chief and uMphakatsi.
Efforts to reach Prince Majaha proved unsuccessful at the time of compiling this report.
On another note, the Chief is alleged to have posted pictures on his Whatsap status where he was having a good time with his new girlfriend who he ‘named’ ‘Liphovela’ much against Eswatini Customary Law, this was after he was warned by the uMphakatsi elders to terminate the relationship and stop the looming marriage with a Dlamini.
