Africa-Press – Eswatini. Percy Simelane, the King’s Spokesperson has clarified that, King Mswati’s international trips are benefiting the Nation, promotes diplomatic relations with various countries to enhance socio-economic evolution.
When asked by editor Zweli Martin Dlamini to clarify “what exactly, is the country benefiting from the King’s international trip”, the Spokesperson said, with the world becoming a global village, no country can survive in isolation.
“Our experience is that, like most of the countries of the world Eswatini has to attend and participate in meetings organized by the formations it is a member of to contribute towards influencing the socio-economic evolution of the lands we call our countries. The world has become a global village, as such, no country can survive in isolation. It is during some of such meetings that funding of developing countries in particular is discussed passed and implemented. To our understanding, State visits are aimed at influencing stronger diplomatic, cultural and trade ties in the best interest of the Nations involved, including Eswatini”, said the King’s Spokesperson.
