Africa-Press – Eswatini. Junior cops must consider supporting regime-change agenda and efforts to overthrow Mswati. That the eSwatini Government defied the Supreme Court order is not only a matter that should be discussed only in the context of the junior police officers demand for a salary increment, it’s a historical fact that, the Tinkhundla regime does not subscribe to the principles of the rule of law.
The systematic review of the judgement is meant to delay the implementation of the court order after all, Government is using public funds in this matter and might drag the court case for years knowing that, other junior police and Correctional Services officers will die without being paid their money in terms of the Phase two(II) Circular.
I remember raising concerns with my legal team as to how we will recover our legal costs in the Mpumalanga Court case between me, the King and the eSwatini Government as the regime might refuse to pay but, the lawyers assured me they will attach assets including multimillion Government investments held in South African financial institutions, royal escorts or Government cars as most of eSwatini Government properties are in South Africa.
It should be noted that, my concern was triggered by the fact that, this Government has a history of defying court orders while on the other hand, pretending to be respecting the courts and subscribing to the fundamental principles of the rule of law.
It is important to state that, there’s no convergence whatsoever, between the ruling Tinkhundla dictatorship regime and the rule of law that is, and should be, a product of democracy.
Therefore, junior police and Correctional Services officers must know that, even though they are currently approaching their salary increment issue as a purely labour matter, ultimately, they must consider supporting the efforts to overthrow the Tinkhundla regime.
As a journalist,I am also alive to the fact that, media freedom can only exist in a democratically governed country hence my consistent call for the overthrow of King Mswati’s undemocratic regime is based on principle and by extension, the public’s right to access information.
Tinkhundla is hostile to the independent media, in fact, this regime does not tolerate criticism and/or dissenting views, a real media in the eyes of Tinkhundla “is the one that reports positively about Government”.
Even the Judiciary is not independent, I am very close to some Judges and Magistrates and I am fully aware what is happening within the justice system.
This country is an absolute Monarchy and anyone who might wish to dispute this narrative must provide evidence to the contrary.
The phrase “rule of law” means “it is the law that rules” and as mentioned, the law cannot rule in a country where the Head of State is an absolute Monarch.
Junior cops celebrated inside court on Friday last week after the Supreme Court delivered a judgement in their favour, of course, hoping for a salary increment.
But Government is reluctant to release their collective back-pay amounting to over R1billion because the law does not rule in this country, the centre of power revolves around Mswati.
Security officers must know that, as along as this country is ruled by King Mswati under his Tinkhundla “one political party” State, they will continue to live a miserable life.
Theres no short-cut in addressing the poverty situation affecting the people including security officers, this regime must be overthrown and replaced with a democratic Government that reflects the will of the people and subscribe to the principles of the rule of law.
Personally,I am not afraid to share my political views calling for the overthrow of the Tinkhundla undemocratic regime because I am alive to the fact that, all the financial struggles including poverty affecting the people, are a product of oppression under the the Tinkhundla system.
Indeed, Tinkhundla represents nothing but poverty, oppression and human rights violations and therefore, this regime must be overthrown.
It’s possible to achieve democracy but junior police officers, soldiers and Correctional Services officers must know that, they have a role to play in overthrowing this cruel and oppressive regime.
