Outgoing Shiselweni Regional Football Association (SRFA) Chairman Bhekani khumalo and Nkosinathi Kunene were nominated under the hot chairmanship position. This was announced by Ethics Committee Chairperson Magistrate Siphosini Dlamini yesterday. Also present during the press briefing at Sigwaca House in Mbabane were Eswatini Football Association (EFA) Marketing and Communications Officer Muzi Radebe as well as Ethics Committee Members Josefa Bhembe and Phumzile Tfomo.

The outgoing executive committee was in office since July 2019. The new executive committee will be known after the elective general assembly, which will be held on July 30 (next Sunday). Those who have been nominated under the vice chairmanship post are John Magubane, former EFA Executive Member Sikhumbuzo Dlamini, Joseph Tsela, Mphakatsi Dludlu, Rudolph Saulos, Simangele Zwane and Sibusiso Msibi. This position was held by Rudolph Saulos in the outgoing committee. Sifiso Sikhosana, Nkosinathi Dlamini and Simangele Zwane were some of the members who were nominated for the membership position. The secretary position and treasurer position will be filled by a chief operation officer (CFO). The chairman of the Ethics Committee said this was done in order to professionalise the sport.
He also highlighted that those nominated were prohibited from campaigning. “Nominees have a right, however, to submit complaints as per article 58 FIFA Code of Ethics. The article stipulates that any person may file a complaint regarding potential breaches of electoral code with the secretariat of the investigatory chamber,” said Dlamini. He highlighted that the public,however, should be noted made aware that as per article 58, there would no entitlement for proceedings to be opened following the submission of a complaint.
