Ubombo Sugar Workers March to Bigbend Police Station,Urge Police to Intervene in Peaceful Removal of their Trade Union Leadership Amid Refusal to Vacate Office

Africa-Press – Eswatini. Workers here at the Ubombo Sugar Limited marched to the Big Bend Police Station on Sunday,they are urging the police to intervene in peaceful attempts to remove the Branch leadership of the Swaziland Agricultural Plantation and Allied Workers Union(SAPWU)whose term of office long came to an end.

The workers are urging the Branch leadership led by Chairperson Kidwell Ndlovu to resign and hand over the trade union’s equipment that include a car, office keys and a laptop.

The trade unionists are accused of refusing to vacate office while enjoying monies paid by the workers as subscriptions.
