United Nations(UN) Eswatini Deputy Resident Coordinator Nessi Gouldu urges journalists to report about climate-change

Africa-Press – Eswatini. Journalists have a huge role to play in providing accurate information and promoting the Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs) including highlighting the impact of climate change,Nessi Gouldu,the United Nations(UN) Eswatini Deputy Resident Coordinator said,when addressing the World Press Freedom Day celebration.

The World Press Freedom Day event held this week and recognized globally, was held at the UN eSwatini House in Mbabane, the Deputy Resident Coordinator further highlighted that,the media could shift the public discourse about climate change and how to respond to it.

“There are also stories that need to be shared about what people are doing to combat climate change in their communities,” she said.

Combating the effects of climate change and to respond to it, forms part of the Agenda 2030 UN Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs).
