Africa-Press – Eswatini. Deputy Themba Masuku(DPM)Themba Masuku once approached me proposing that we must establish a newspaper that would defend the country by countering articles published by South African newspapers.

We held a series of meetings with the DPM in his office and after learning that I was reluctant, he approached Bonsile Mncina, the editor of the now defunct Vuka-Ngwane Siswati newspaper.

I was once a writer for Vuka-Ngwane and I remember my editor pleading with me that we should drop a story about the DPM because he was an indirect partner in that newspaper.

The DPM had told me during an interview that he predicted the economic crisis when he was the Minister of Finance and warned the country against relying heavily on the South African Customs Union(SACU).

That was a simple and straight forward story, but my editor pleaded with me that we shouldn’t write or publish that story because it put the DPM in trouble with BakaNgwane(authorities).

My editor Bonsile Mncina said, “Kumele ngim-protecte lomuntfu lomdzala mani Dlamini, ukhulume angati. Sitawutsi siyayikhipha lendzaba bambute lekaNgwane kutsi kani bewati, wabese wentani kuvikela lesimo sekuwa kwemnotfo”.

The DPM was influencing Government and State companies to advertise on Vuka-Ngwane and then receive a percentage of the cash sourced from public funds.

Apart from the thousands he looted using Vuka Ngwane, Masuku recently stole close to two hundred thousand Rands(R200,000.00) through a travelling allowance, he travelled to Geneva to address the world in an empty auditorium.

The DPM could have addressed the UN Geneva meeting via Zoom, but he opted to travel so that he could justify the stealing of the taxpayers money.

I will not delve much on the properties he allegedly grabbed from his brother’s widow, children are now suffering because of a man whose office is responsible for the welfare of children.

In light of the above mentioned, I have come to the conclusion that the DPM is a corrupt and dangerous thief.

Government Spokesperson Alpheous Nxumalo is a toddler in politics, he thinks labelling a journalist as a member of a political party instead of addressing the subject matter,is an insult.

I don’t just wake-up in the morning and label people, the Deputy Prime Minister is corrupt and he is a dangerous hypocrite.
