Africa-Press – Eswatini. The Ministry of Public Service has maintained its resolute commitment to ensuring that the voices of stakeholders remain central in shaping Eswatini’s pension landscape.

Speaking during the sixth annual Public Service Pensions Fund (PSPF) Stakeholder Forum held at Hilton Garden Inn this morning, Minister of Public Service Mabulala Maseko disclosed that the Ministry is not only committed to listening, but also to translating stakeholder insights into action.

“Good governance is rooted in listening, consultation and accountability,” the Minister said, stressing that stakeholder voices are not just heard, but meaningfully factored into decisions that will safeguard the future of civil servants.

Safeguarding Retirement Security

The forum marked yet another milestone in strengthening dialogue between the Ministry, the PSPF, and its members. Maseko reminded stakeholders that retirement security is too important an issue for division, noting that inclusive dialogue remains key in protecting the hard-earned contributions of public servants.

He also pointed to ongoing national deliberations around the proposed conversion of the Eswatini National Provident Fund into a National Pension Fund. The Ministry, he assured, continues to approach the matter with fairness, integrity, and balance to safeguard the interests of public servants and their families.

Innovation for Better Service

In addition to policy engagement, the PSPF showcased progress in digital transformation. The newly introduced Ingcamu App was highlighted as a step towards greater convenience and transparency, allowing members to access their pension information directly from their mobile devices.

“This innovation is more than just an application; it is a bridge between the PSPF and the people it serves,” said Maseko. He noted that the App represents the Fund’s commitment to improving efficiency and service delivery while embracing opportunities presented by technology.

A Shared Responsibility

Looking back on the Fund’s 30 years of service, Maseko applauded the role of stakeholders in shaping strategies and interventions that directly respond to members’ needs. He said their active participation underscores the PSPF’s strength as a collaborative platform, rather than just a financial institution.

“The success of the Public Service Pension Fund and indeed the welfare of our public servants depends on your active participation and constructive input,” he said.

The Way Forward

As Eswatini’s pension landscape continues to evolve, the Ministry of Public Service assured all stakeholders of its dedication to transparency, accountability, and meaningful engagement. Stakeholders left the forum encouraged that their contributions remain pivotal to building a secure and prosperous retirement future for the nation’s dedicated civil servants.
