African Leaders Meet in Addis Ababa for Climate Finance

Africa-Press – Ethiopia. African Heads of State began arriving in Addis Ababa today, welcomed by senior Ethiopian officials, for the Second African Climate Summit (ACS2).

Their arrival marks the beginning of a pivotal three-day conference aimed at unifying the continent’s voice on climate action and repositioning Africa as a leader in global climate policy.

Held from September 8–10, 2025, at the Addis International Convention Center (AICC), ACS2 is convened under the theme: “Accelerating Global Climate Solutions: Financing for Africa’s Resilient and Green Development.”

Here, Africa’s leaders stand together with determination, ready to speak with one united voice on climate action.

Their commitment signals a new era where Africa is not just participating but leading—shaping global climate finance and ensuring African priorities are reflected at COP30, G20, and beyond.

The Summit will deliver the historic Addis Ababa Declaration, launch flagship reports, and mobilize billions in green investments, showing the world that Africa is serious, united, and ready to turn ambition into action for generations to come.
