Africa-Press – Ethiopia. Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed reconvened with the leadership of the Addis Ababa City Administration and corridor leads today to delve deeper into the advancements.
A month ago, we conducted a comprehensive review of the corridor development projects to assess the ongoing progress, Abiy posted on X.
“This morning, I reconvened with the leadership of the Addis Ababa City Government and corridor leads to delve deeper into our advancements.”
He stated that these initiatives are not just about construction; they are about transforming our city into a more livable, vibrant, and sustainable environment.
“By enhancing the aesthetics, greenery, and infrastructure, we are not only addressing public health concerns but also generating employment opportunities for our residents.”
Together, these efforts will elevate Addis Ababa and truly establish it as a city that caters to the needs of all its inhabitants, Abiy added.
Revitalizing slum areas of the city, enhancing living conditions for residents, fulfilling infrastructure such as integrated drainage systems and utility infrastructure, expanding roads to accommodate rising traffic volumes, creating spacious pedestrian walkways, restoring heritage sites, and upgrading buildings to align with the city’s esthetic standards are some of the works being underway under the corridor development project.
