Türkiye, AU Cooperation In Line with Agenda 2063: Turkish Ambassador

Africa-Press – Ethiopia. Türkiye and African Union (AU) have strengthened strategic partnership and the cooperation is in line with Agenda 2063, Türkiye Ambassador to Ethiopia and Permanent Representative to the AU Berk Baran said.

Ambassador Baran has handed over flags to the African Union donated by Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) today.

Director General of the African Union Commission, Fathallah Sijilmassi received the flags.

During the occasion, Ambassador Baran said that the donation of flags demonstrates the strong partnership of Türkiye with the African Union.

Türkiye and AU have strategic partnership since 2008, the Ambassador stated, and added that the partnership has strengthened over the years.

Türkiye President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has made official visits to 31 African countries, Baran said, and noted “it shows the strong interest to the continent.”

“All of the cooperation projects we determine with Africa are always defined in line with the Agenda 2063 of the AU,” he stressed.
