The Gambia Ambassador to the United States of America, His Excellency Momodou Lamin Bah, on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, signed the condolence book in honour of the late Ambassador of the Republic of Congo to the United States, His Excellency Serge Mombouli, who passed away on September 5, 2025, in Washington, D.C., at the age of 66.
In his message, Ambassador Bah wrote, “On behalf of the Embassy of the Republic of The Gambia to the United States, the government and people of The Gambia, and on my own behalf, I extend sincere condolences to the government and people of the Republic of Congo and to the family of the deceased.
Our dear brother and colleague, Ambassador Mombouli, demonstrated exceptional leadership as Dean of the African Diplomatic Corps. I thank him for his distinguished service, and may his gentle soul rest in eternal peace.”
