Africa-Press – Gambia. As the Brikama Sports Committee summer Nawettan continues, Fortune FA asserted its dominance with a convincing victory over G-Sarr FC at the Brikama Boxba mini-stadium on Monday.
The match began with an early breakthrough when Abass Kinteh scored for Fortune FA in the 3rd minute, giving them a crucial lead that held through the first half. Despite G-Sarr FC’s attempts, they were unable to find an equalizer.
In the second half, the “academy boys” of Fortune FA maintained their composure, frustrating G-Sarr with a solid defensive line and an organized midfield. Their efforts paid off when substitute Bubacarr Badjie doubled the score in the 82nd minute, and later, another substitute, Malang Jambang, sealed the victory with the third goal.
In another match, Dangam FC of Busumbala secured a late equalizer to settle for a 1-1 draw against Scovil FC.
Sarjo Sowe had put Scovil FC ahead in the 54th minute, seemingly on their way to their first win of the season.
However, in a dramatic turn of events, Tijan Ceesay of Dangam FC scored a stunning 40-yard screamer in stoppage time, rescuing a point for his team. The late goal left Scovil’s fans disappointed, while Dangam FC’s supporters celebrated jubilantly.
