Africa-Press – Gambia. Eswatini Creativity Platform successfully hosted a Christmas fashion show at Alcon House.
The show started at a very high note with Mphumalanga the poetess’s thrilling set. She was also the mc, who managed the proceedings of the event. The models rocked the run way in the presence of their parents and important guests.
The sponsor of the event Sifiso Nhlengetfwa, who is a member of Parliament for Manzini North came to witness the occasion. He encouraged the Director of Eswatini Creativity Platform, Nerville Johnson to keep helping the young generation in realising their talents. He also pledged to always support arts and entertainment. The occasion was also graced by the Minister of Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs Honourable Bongani Nzima, who also acknowledged the work done by Eswatini Creativity Platform.
Encouraged
He encouraged the Eswatini designers to continue with their beautiful works. He said designers should make more of their items so that they could contribute to the economic sector. Other designers who showcased their items were Millennium Trend, Nkosicrotchet and Sonia.
The director of Eswatini Creativity Platform highlighted that the event was launching two activities, the Eswatini Creativity Platform modelling agency, which started in October and has about 40 models at the moment. He also mentioned that the event was launching an annual event that they hosted in May, the indigenous African music festival and Africa day celebration.
Johnson also highlighted that since the agency started, it has been successful to have its models participating in local and international events. He further expressed their happiness for having one of their models who scooped the seat of being Miss Cultural Heritage Hhohho, Magagula Yandiswa.
