Nfansu Dibba inspired Hart to a 3-1 victory over Samger, Medina United salvaged a 1-1 draw against Bombada, while Greater Tomorrow and Brikama United played to a goalless draw in the Brikama derby. Steve Biko also shared the spoils with BST Galaxy, wrapping up Week 13 of the GFF First Division League, sponsored by Vista Bank-Baluwo, on Tuesday.
With the win, Hart reduced the gap on league leaders Gambia Ports Authority to three points. The Jarra Soma-based side defeated struggling Samger 3-1 at the Live Your Dreams Academy Field in Basori. Lamin Sambou opened the scoring in the seventh minute, followed by Nfansu Dibba in the 29th minute. Lamin Jallow extended Hart’s lead in the 61st minute before Muhammad Jabo netted a consolation goal for Samger in the 71st minute.
Elsewhere, Bombada’s Abdoulie Camara struck first, but Adama Jatta equalised for Medina United to secure a 1-1 draw at the Ousman Saho Football Field. Bombada played most of the second half with ten men after Ebrima Bah was sent off for a second yellow card.
In Brikama, Greater Tomorrow and Brikama United played out a goalless draw in a well-attended derby at the Box Bar Mini Stadium. Despite creating several chances, neither side could break the deadlock.
Meanwhile, Steve Biko and BST Galaxy also shared points in Bakau, as Steve Biko’s search for a first win of the season continues after 13 matches.
After Week 13, Gambia Ports Authority remained top of the standings with 26 points, followed by Hart in second, three points behind. Bombada is third with 21 points, while Steve Biko and Samger remain in the relegation zone, level on nine points each.
