Africa-Press – Gambia. The Gambia senior national team will Wednesday, 10 January 2024 leave Banjul for Ivory Coast, as the 2023 Total Energies Africa Cup of Nations edges closer.

The Scorpions are set to stay in Yamoussoukro during the course of the continent’s bi-annual biggest football showpiece.

Coach Tom Saintfiet and his Scorpions charges will hold series of training sessions in Yamoussoukro, Ivory Coast, to prepare themselves fit enough before their crucial Group C opening fixture against Senegal on Monday 15th January 2024 at 2pm.

The Gambia will clash to beat the Terranga Lions to clasp the significant three points in their first encounter in the continent’s biennial biggest football jamboree.

The Scorpions reached the quarter-finals of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations but lost to Cameroon 2-0 in their last eight clash of the continent’s bi-annual biggest football fiesta.
