Africa-Press – Gambia. The UNITE Movement for Change (UMC) has officially handed over vehicles to its regional bureaus to strengthen grassroots mobilization and outreach across the country.
The presentation ceremony, attended by senior party officials, regional executives, youth, and women leaders, underscored the party’s commitment to building a people-centered political movement with national reach.
UNITE, which has been described as one of the fastest-growing political forces in The Gambia, says the provision of vehicles is intended to enhance coordination, supervision, and direct engagement with communities nationwide. Party officials note that effective grassroots work requires mobility, allowing regional leaders to travel regularly, meet ward and constituency committees, engage traditional leaders, interact with youth and women’s groups, and respond swiftly to community concerns.
Speaking at the event, party representatives say the investment reflects UNITE’s focus on action over rhetoric, highlighting the importance of empowering regional bureaus with logistical support to deepen the party’s nationwide presence.
Officials added that the vehicle handover was part of broader plans to strengthen regional and constituency structures, with further support initiatives expected in the coming months.
The party described the development as a demonstration of its organizational readiness and long-term vision, positioning UNITE as a modern, responsive, and nationally connected movement.
With enhanced mobility, regional leaders are expected to intensify outreach efforts and ensure the party’s message of unity, accountability, and development reaches communities across The Gambia.
