Africa-Press – Ghana. Mr Mahama Naser Toure, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament (MP) for Ayawaso East, has died at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital after a period of illness, family sources have disclosed.
A fourth-term MP, Toure, held several key roles in Parliament, including Vice Chairman of the Energy Committee in the current Ninth Parliament and membership on the Roads and Transport Committee, House Committee, and the Private Members’ Bills and Motions Committee.
Meanwhile, while Parliament has not confirmed the death officially, reports indicate that Mr Richard Acheampong, the Second Deputy Majority Whip, has said, “The late MP is expected to be laid to rest on Sunday, January 4, 2026, in accordance with Muslim tradition.”
