Africa-Press – Ghana. The 1999 Year Group of the Sunyani Senior High School (SOSA ’99) has unveiled the ‘SUSEC Year of Return 2027’ with a fundraising rally to construct an ultra-modern clinic for the school.

The group launched the fund-raising rally during its annual get-together in Sunyani on the theme: “Celebrating the past, reconnecting the future”.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr Alfred Tuah-Yeboah, a Deputy Attorney-General and Minister of Justice in the previous administration, also an old student, appealed to the SUSEC alumni, home and abroad to contribute towards the construction of the clinic.

He said individual contributions were required to put up the project and to improve healthcare service delivery in the school and beyond.

Mr Tuah-Yeboah later donated GH¢5,000 to support the project and asked for individual contributions from the old students.

Mr Ransford Antwi, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Suncity Group of Companies, operators of the Sunyani-based Suncity Radio and the Suncity Imperial Lodge said the school required the clinic urgently and donated GH¢5,000.

He commended the organisers, describing the SOSA ‘99 vision as inspiring, and urged other year groups of the school to emulate their initiative and help improve the physical infrastructure of the school.

Mr Antwi said that: “The bond of peace and the vision of SOSA ’99 is inspiring and highly commendable”, adding that the high sense of friendship and genuine affection within the group remained exceptional.

Another old student, Mr Emmanuel Obeng Mensah, the OBMOH PLUS Limited also donated GH¢10,000 in support of the clinic.
