Africa-Press – Ghana. President John Dramani Mahama will host President Emmerson Mnangagwa of Zimbabwe for a three-day State Visit to Ghana from April 1–3.

A statement issued by Mr Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the Presidential Spokesman and Minister of State in-charge of Government Communications, said President Mnangagwa would be received in Accra with full military honours, followed by a state banquet in his honour.

It said the visit would feature high-level bilateral engagements, including a tête-à-tête and delegation talks focused on strengthening cooperation in trade, tourism, agriculture, healthcare, sanitation, and joint efforts to tackle corruption and unemployment.

The statement noted that the two leaders would also witness the signing of key Memoranda of Understanding to advance mutual interests.

“As part of the visit, President Mnangagwa will tour the Sweden Ghana Medical Centre and the Accra Compost and Recycling Plant, and pay homage at the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park,” it stated.

It noted that the State Visit underscores the deep-rooted ties between Ghana and Zimbabwe and reaffirms a shared commitment to advancing a strategic partnership for sustainable development.
