Africa-Press – Ghana. Ghana winger Christopher Antwi Adjei has been ruled out of Bochum’s game against Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga on Saturday.
As earlier reported by GHANAsoccernet.com the 28-year-old did not train with the team on Tuesday due to muscular problems in his adductor area.
Antwi-Adjei picked up the injury during the warm-up time in the first half against TSG Hoffenheim.
The Ghana international complained after sustaining the injury and had to be rested on the bench.
Bochum announced on Friday after the pre-match conference that the former Paderborn winger will not be available for the game due to the injury.
Antwi-Adjei was part of the Ghana squad that qualified for the 2022 World Cup after beating Nigeria in the playoff.He has made 24 appearances and scored one goal and an assist this season.
