Africa-Press – Ghana. All is set for the 27th Annual National Women’s Conference of the Women’s wing of the Islamic Mission Secretariat (IMS).
A statement issued and signed by Hajia Mamiram Suleiman Nketia, the National Secretary for the Wing, said the conference would be held at Otaakrom in the Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti Region between Thursday August 28 and Sunday August 31, 2025.
The three-day conference is on the theme: “The role of a Muslim woman in nation building through commitment”.
A copy of the statement made available to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) said the event would be attended by the First Lady Lordina Mahama, and the former second lady Hajia Samira Bawumia.
Some of the activities outlined for the conference include employable skills training for some vulnerable people, health screening exercise and sporting activities.
