Africa-Press – Ghana. The Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG), Messiah Congregation, at Afrancho in the Offinso North Municipality of the Ashanti Region, has climaxed activities marking its 40th milestone, with a special Thanksgiving Service.
Reverend Samuel Owusu Fianko, Akumadan District Minister of the PCG, preached the Anniversary Sermon, on the theme: “Celebrating our Heritage, Persisting in Mission-Testifying about the Salvation of God.”
He charged the Messiah Congregation, and Christians in general, to preserve their heritage, by propagating the Gospel Salvation to the world.
Rev Fianko also urged Christians to consistently demonstrate the act of personally sharing God’s love.
Mr John Kwame Ameyaw, Offinso North Constituency Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), who represented the Municipal Chief Executive, Mr Caesar Ofosu Acheampong, commended the leadership and members of the church, for their resilience in God’s kingdom work over the past 40 years.
He urged them to keep up the spirit and help to inspire and transform lives.
Citations were presented to founding members and individuals and groups who have contributed immensely towards the growth and development of the church.
