Africa-Press – Ghana. The Anlo Dukor (State) Council has commended Mr Godwin Edudzi Kudzo Tameklo, (Esq.), Chief Executive Officer of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), for his exceptional achievements and impactful leadership in public service.

They acknowledged his achievements in the legal profession and human rights advocacy too.

A high-powered delegation of chiefs, led by the Awadada of Anlo, Torgbi Agbesi Awusu II, paid a courtesy call on Mr Tameklo at the NPA headquarters in Accra on behalf of Awomefia Togbi Sri III, the overlord of the Anlo State.

In his address, Torgbi Awusu II conveyed the Awomefia’s greetings and lauded Mr. Tameklo’s sterling contributions to national life, describing him as a source of pride for the Anlo people and the Volta Region.

He highlighted Mr Tameklo’s “remarkable exploits” in defending the rights of individuals facing unjust treatment, his pivotal role as Director of Legal Affairs of the National Democratic Congress then in opposition, and his ongoing transformative work at the NPA.

“Your track record in law, your bold defence of the vulnerable, and your visionary leadership at the NPA have set you apart as a role model for our people. These accomplishments inspire us, especially our young minds, reinforcing the Anlo tradition of producing leaders of integrity, courage, and service to our nation” Togbi said.

The Awadada also extended a special invitation to Mr Tameklo to grace this year’s Anlo Hogbetsotso Festival, scheduled for the first Saturday in November, assuring him of a warm welcome from the Awomefia and the entire Anlo State.

Responding to the tribute, Mr Tameklo expressed profound gratitude to the chiefs for the honour and the visit and pledged his commitment to supporting the successful organisation of the festival.

“I will do everything to ensure that the Hogbetsotso Festival is organised to the highest standard, underscoring the importance of unity among the chiefs as a foundation for sustained development in the Anlo area, Volta region and Ghana as a whole.”

The entourage included other Paramount chiefs such as Togbi Joachim Acolatse V, Dufia of Kedzi; Togbi Baku IV, Dufia of Denu; Togbi Agyeman, Fiaga of Adidome; Togbi Tuduabor III from Anloga, and Mama Wotorbe III, President of the Anlo Queens Council, alongside members of the 2025 Hogbetsotso Planning Committee.

The meeting not only strengthened ties between the Anlo State and the NPA Chief Executive, but also underscored the deep respect accorded to leaders who combine professional excellence with unwavering dedication to the public good.
