Africa-Press – Ghana. Asante Kotoko Communications Director David Obeng Nyarko has denied reports that the club has signed former Arsenal and Manchester City forward Emmanuel Adebayor.
Reports went rife in the media that the Porcupine Warriors have signed the Togolese international until the end of the season.
David Obeng Nyarko in response to a post has denied the club signing the 2008 Africa Footballer of the Year winner.The former Tottenham Hotspur forward has been clubless since July 2020 after his contract with Paraguayan side was terminated by mutual consent.
Adebayor has reportedly agreed to join the two-time CAF Champions League title holders on a short-term contract.
The lanky striker featured for several top-tier clubs in Europe such as Real Madrid, Arsenal, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, Crystal Palace, Kayserispor, İstanbul Başakşehir, AS Monaco and Metz.
