Africa-Press – Ghana. The Council of State has extended its congratulations to President John Dramani Mahama, on his success at the United Nations General Assembly in advancing Ghana’s position on the global discourse on slavery and its enduring consequences.

Mr Edward Korbly Doe Adjaho, the Chairman of the Council of State in a statement said this achievement reflects the President’s vision, diplomatic acumen, and unwavering commitment to justice, human dignity, and historical accountability.

“It further reinforces Ghana’s longstanding reputation as a beacon of Pan-Africanism and a principled voice in the community of nations,” it said.

The statement said the Council of State commends President Mahama for elevating Ghana’s standing on the international stage and for championing a cause of profound global significance.

“We are confident that this milestone will continue to inspire national pride and strengthen Ghana’s role in promoting equity and justice worldwide,” the statement said.
