Africa-Press – Ghana. President John Dramani Mahama has asked Dr Cassiel Ato Baah Forson, Finance Minister to take on additional responsibility as Defence Minister.
In addition, the President has also asked Mr Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, the Lands and Natural Resources Minister, to act as Minister for Environment, Science and Technology until further notice.
A statement issued by Mr Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the Presidential Spokesman and Minister of State in-charge of Government Communications, said the decision followed the tragic demise of the substantive Ministers for Defence and Environment, Science and Technology, in Wednesday’s fatal helicopter crash on their way to an event in Obuasi.
