Africa-Press – Ghana. The Black Stars of Ghana will play Germany in an international friendly on March 30, 2026, in Stuttgart.
The match would serve as preparation for the FIFA World Cup in Mexico, Canada and the United States.
The Black Stars of Ghana would be making their fifth appearance at the mundial, as they have been paired with England, Croatia and Panama in Group L.
Black Stars head coach Otto Addo, after the announcement of the friendly, said, “This is an amazing opportunity for us to test ourselves against one of the best teams in the world. Germany are a good side, and we can’t wait to face them in Stuttgart.”
Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann, on the other hand, said, “We are very much looking forward to the clash with Otto’s team. Their strong transition play can give us a taste of what to expect in the World Cup group match against Ivory Coast.”
The Black Stars, four-time African champions, have met Germany three times before: a 6-1 friendly defeat in Bochum in 1993, a 1-0 loss in the 2010 World Cup group stage, and a 2-2 draw at the 2014 tournament in Brazil.
