Africa-Press – Ghana. The 6th August 2025 Helicopter Tragedy Children’s Support Funds has as at August 28, accrued a total donations of GH¢3.5 million and $20,000.00.
A statement issued by Dr Valerie Sawyerr, Senior Presidential Advisor on Governmental Affairs, and Coordinator of the Fund, said the Fund was to ensure the welfare of the children of the victims of the August 6 helicopter crash.
It said the list of donors from 19 to 28 August, 2025, in response to the Children’s Support Fund included Ghana Airport Limited, Kennedy Hedoe, Peter Adongo, Mensah Michael and Appaul Wiredu Lateef.
Others are Samuel Hodalor, Dauda Iddi, ARB Apex Bank PLC, STL Foundation, Olam Agric, Fidelity Bank Ghana, ADB Bank, GLICO General Insurance and the National Insurance Commission.
It said donations might be made to the Fund via the following Stanbic Bank Ghana Limited accounts (Stanbic Heights Branch, Accra): Ghana Cedi (GHS) Account: 9040013628372 US Dollar (USD) Account: 9040013628534 Cheques and bank drafts should be made payable to: CHILDREN SUPPORT FUND 6825. It said a list of donors would be published on a weekly basis.
