Africa-Press – Ghana. Members of the Hohoe Municipal Assembly, have elected Mr Rafiu Adams Darajaat, the Assembly Member for the Gbi Bla Electoral Area, as its Presiding Member for a two-year tenure.
Mr Adams, who contested unopposed, polled 25 ‘Yes’ votes to replace his predecessor, Mr Derek Adzoe.
He was sworn into office and in his acceptance remarks, emphasised that his leadership would be guided by the motto “Better Together,” reflecting his commitment to unity, collaboration, and inclusive development.
Mr Adam rallied the support of the members and stakeholders for a successful tenure.
Mr Thomas Worlanyo Tsekpo, the Hohoe Constituency Member of Parliament, in a congratulatory message, said the election of Mr Adam was a testament that “Hohoe is fully back home.”
He said he would work with the newly elected Presiding Member to move Hohoe to the next level.
