Africa-Press – Ghana. Ghana’s Ninth Parliament concluded its third meeting, with 35 daily sittings held between Tuesday, October 21, and Friday, December 19, 2025, debated various issues, approved financial agreements, and passed several Bills.
The Meeting saw the approval of Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie as Chief Justice, the presentation of the 2026 Budget Statement and Economic Policy, and the passage of 14 Bills, including the Value Added Tax Bill and the Virtual Asset Service Providers Bill.
A statement issued on Tuesday by the Public Relations Department of Parliament to the Ghana News Agency, Accra, said, speaking on the activities of the Meeting, Mr Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, the Speaker of Parliament, asked journalists to report accurately and educate the public on the constitutional mandates of Members of Parliament.
It said the next parliamentary Session which commenced on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, promised to be engaging, with several key issues on the agenda.
The statement said that “Parliament’s First Meeting of the Second Session of the Ninth Parliament will last for about eight weeks and promises to be engaging.”
