Africa-Press – Ghana. The 2025 National Delegates Conference of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will rally members to rebuild the Party on its foundational values and principles.

Scheduled for Saturday, July 19, 2025, at the University of Ghana Stadium in Accra, the Conference is the Party’s highest decision-making body.

On Monday, the Planning Committee unveiled the theme: “Rebuilding together with our values,” aimed at guiding deliberations on key reforms and the Party’s future direction.

Mr. Richard Ahiagbah, Director of Communications, NPP, said the Conference was designed to reshape and re-engineer the Party for long-term resilience.

He noted that following the 2024 election defeat, the NPP sought to “reconnect with our roots” and reaffirm its core values in unity and togetherness.

Mr. Ahiagbah cited the rule of law, individual liberty and freedom, traditional and cultural values, democracy, and good governance as the principles upon which the Party would be rebuilt.

“Building on these values will guide the NPP in a long road of rebuilding, focusing on our values and principles,” he said, adding: “We will take feedback and reconnect ourselves to rebuilding trust.”

He expressed concern over the Government’s decision to abolish the One District One Factory Programme, stating that it had created 160,000 jobs.

“We hope the President will reconsider the cancellation for the betterment of our country,” he said.

The NPP has scheduled its presidential primary for Saturday, January 31, 2026, to elect a flagbearer for the 2028 general elections.

The date was approved by the National Council following a meeting of the National Executive Committee on June 17, 2025.
