Africa-Press – Ghana. Mr. John Kojo Gyapong, the Oti Regional Minister, has underscored the need for strengthened accountability and accuracy in public sector payroll management as the region continues to grow.

He made the call during the launch of the Oti Regional Training and Set-Up on the Electronic Salary Payment Voucher (ESPV) Administration System at Krachi in the Krachi West Municipality of the Oti region.

The ESPV system, introduced as part of government’s efforts to enhance payroll sanitation, is expected to streamline the management of salary payments, eliminate ghost names, and reinforce financial discipline across public institutions.

Mr. Gyapong said adopting such digital systems was essential for the region’s development agenda.

The Minister was accompanied by the Oti Regional Coordinating Director, the Regional Liaison Officer for National Security, and the Assistant Director I at the Regional Coordinating Council (ORCC).

Mr. Gyapong expressed optimism that the training would equip participants with the necessary skills to efficiently utilize the ESPV platform, thereby contributing to a more transparent, accountable, and credible public administration system in the region.
