Africa-Press – Kenya. Interior and National Administration CS Kithure Kindiki has asked newly appointed Regional Commissioners to drive the execution of the government agenda at the grassroots.

The CS asked the National Government Administration Officers to lead from the front in sensitising the public on the national government development projects.

The CS spoke when he held a meeting with all the eight newly appointed regional commissioners at his Harambee House office.

“The newly-appointed Regional Commissioners have been tasked with cataloguing security issues in their respective areas of jurisdiction in line with the government’s new tack of developing customized responses on a region-by-region basis,’ Kindiki said.

“In his first meeting with the Regional Commissioners, CS Kindiki also pointed out the need for more active participation by national government officials in the execution of government-funded development programmes & projects in the country as directed through Executive Order No. 1 of 2023.”

The new regional commissioners are Rhoda Onyancha (Coast), John Otieno (North Eastern), Paul Rotich (Eastern), Fredrick Shisia (Central), Abdi Hassan (Rift Valley), Samson Irungu (Western), Flora Mworoa (Nyanza) and Katee Mwanza (Nairobi).
