Africa-Press – Kenya. Former Nairobi governor Evans Kidero has claimed that the Azimio One Kenya coalition died even before it began. Speaking on Wednesday, Kidero said Azimio had no other mission except the political rallies they held during campaigns.
“The description of Azimio is that it was dead before it started. Nothing of substance brought the parties of Azimio together. They had no common vision and cause to bring them together except rallies,” he said.
He said that the people who probably knew what they were doing were former President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga. Kidero said the MPs who visited the State House did so to advance development projects for their constituencies.
He said that the President’s role is to unite Kenyans to work together. The ODM and Jubilee party MPs who met President William Ruto came under sharp criticism as leaders weighed in saying they are disloyal to the party. Raila termed the MPs traitors in their course to liberate the country.
