Africa-Press – Kenya. Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has urged President William Ruto to give credible solutions to the high cost of living and the ever-increasing unemployment rate.
Owino took to Twitter on Wednesday night claiming that the President is consistent with his lies after he did a round table interview with journalists from different media houses at State House.
“One thing that Dr Ruto is consistent in, is telling lies. Mgala muue na haki umpe,” he said. The legislator termed the roundtable interview as gibberish and rated the President’s performance as -2 on a scale of 0-10
“This interview on the state of the Nation is GIBBERISH. Tell us how u will deal with the high cost of living and how our youth, men and women will get jobs, Mr President. Otherwise from 0-10 u score(-2),” Owino said
Ruto in the interview weighed in on the high cost of living saying the problem did not happen in a fortnight, hence miracles cannot happen to fix it. The President shut down critics who he said were criticising his 100 days in office that he has not reduced the cost of living saying it will take time as the problem has been on for years.
He said the cost of leaving is a result of decisions made years ago and rectifying will take some time but will be worth it. “Where we are today, we did not arrive here after three days or a week, we arrived here because of decisions three years ago. What was not taken into account is how we will grow as a country,” he said. The President said the solution can only be found if they do things in order and systematically.
