Drama as man breaches Ruto's security in Nakuru

Africa-Press – Kenya. There was drama on Sunday after a man breached President-elect William Ruto’s security in Nakuru. The unidentified man carried a blue folder in his hands even as he ran towards Ruto.

The man, dressed in green trousers, blue shirt with white colours and a black jacket ran even as Nakuru Senator elect Tabitha Karanja gave her speech. But Ruto’s security team immediately whisked him away. Minutes later, Ruto could be seen opening the folder as he smiled.

Ruto and other leaders of Kenya Kwanza had graced an interdenominational church service at Lamudiarc High School Grounds on Sunday when the incident happened.

Ruto’s security has previously been beefed up following an incident where Garissa MP Aden Duale was attacked during a rally in Mandera County. The rowdy man sneaked past Duale’s security and using the sidestep of the car, pounced on the MP, forcing him to cut short his speech.

The man attempted to pull down the MP’s trousers before the bodyguards intervened. However, Duale asked the officers not to arrest the man who was seeking an audience with outgoing deputy president.
