Embrace your differences and all will be well, Kabogo tells Kenya Kwanza

Africa-Press – Kenya. Former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has asked the Kenya Kwanza camp to embrace their differences for the alliance to stand the test of time.

His advice followed claims by Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga that deceit has started to crop up within the ruling alliance.

“We want to say that we will walk this journey together if possible. But we want to make it clear we have not been married by anyone who thinks that they can solely decide to take us here or there,” Kahiga said.

He spoke on Friday during the swearing-in ceremony of CECs.

The governor said that insincerity has started to manifest itself in the ruling coalition, citing events around EALA elections.

Kahiga said former Kieni MP Kanini Kega was elected to EALA by Mt Kenya UDA MPs despite him being from rival Azimio-One Kenya Coalition.

But Kabogo said the differences will not harm the ruling coalition if those within it learn to live with them.

“Recognise your differences and all will be well,” Kabogo said in a tweet Saturday.

He tagged his message to a poster with a quote from author Dave Meurer.

“A great marriage is not when the perfect couple comes together. It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.”
