Africa-Press – Kenya. The majority of the country is likely to remain dry in the next few days, Kenya meteorological department has announced.
Cold and cloudy conditions are expected over the Highlands East of the Rift Valley, some areas of the South-Eastern Lowlands, the Highlands West of the Rift Valley, and the Central and South Rift Valley.
MET said the rest of the country will most likely remain dry.
MET said the Coast, the Highlands East of the Rift Valley, and a small portion of the Highlands West of the Rift Valley, however, may experience light to moderate rainfall.
Most regions will experience daytime maximum temperatures ranging from 20 to 35 degrees Celsius.
Regions of the Highlands East of the Rift Valley are expected to experience nighttime minimum temperatures of less than 10 degrees Celsius.
Along the coast, the south-eastern lowlands, northwestern, and north-eastern Kenya, strong southerly to south-easterly winds are expected with speeds exceeding 25 knots (12.9 m/s).
