The winners led 17-15 in a closely fought first half. Victor Gobia scored 14 goals and Philip Lutenyenga 7. Calestus Okemwa was the losers’ highest scorer with 12.
Tigers also pipped Inspired 35-32 after leading 15-14 at the breather. Edwin Wanyonyi bagged 9 goals and Fred Pepela 6 for the winners
In the other matches, Vickers crushed 53-8 to a rampant Strathmore University side, Inspired hit Gunners 35-30 while Black Mamba hit Technical University of Kenya (TUK) 35-22. Former champions National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) clubbed Nanyuki 36-25.
In the women’s matches, champions Nairobi Water nipped Ulinzi 29-28 in a cracker.
