Africa-Press – Kenya. KCB hope to continue their fine start to the season as they face Nzoia Sugar in their fourth Kenya Premier League match this weekend at Moi Stadium, Kasarani.
Assistant coach Godfrey Oduor admitted that he expects a stern test from Nzoia but exuded confidence that they are ready for them and will be seeking maximum points.
KCB have won two of their three matches so far and are placed fourth on the log with six points in the 18-team league.
Oduor said: “We expect a tough match against our next opponents even though we have a good start to the new season. It is encouraging to see the team move up the ladder in the current standings. Our objective still remains the same and we are buoyant that we will bag silverware this time round.”
Oduor further hinted that forward Francis Kahiro and midfielder Derrick Otieno are doubtful for the mouth-watering encounter.
The duo picked up minor knocks in the 1-0 win over Bandari at Mbaraki last weekend.
“We are monitoring the situation of Otieno and Kahiro. Both picked up knocks in the last fixture and we do not want to risk anything and should our medical team clear them, they will then feature,” added Oduor.
The Zedekiah Otieno men will lock horns with Bidco United on December 17 away at Thika.
