Africa-Press – Kenya. UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Kenyan President William Ruto met on Wednesday to strengthen bilateral ties and address regional security concerns, including a formal condemnation of recent attacks on Emirati infrastructure.

The leaders focused on expanding cooperation under the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), targeting key sectors such as investment, renewable energy, technology, and infrastructure. Both heads of state emphasized that the partnership is vital for creating new economic opportunities and ensuring sustainable prosperity for both nations.

During the discussions, Ruto reiterated his condemnation of terrorist attacks targeting civilians and infrastructure in the UAE and the broader region. He characterized the strikes as a violation of national sovereignty and international law, noting their destabilizing effect on regional peace and global maritime security.

The meeting also touched on the broader geopolitical landscape in the Middle East, with both leaders reviewing the serious repercussions of regional instability on the global economy.

The talks were attended by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chief of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs, along with several ministers and high-ranking officials from both delegations.
